My 2007 NEC Handbook was much better. I bought this specifically to help me understand ...

As an electrician for over 30 years, I had hoped for more detailed illustrations and pictures in a handbook. My 2007 NEC Handbook was much better. I bought this specifically to help me understand changes in Article 690 Solar PV and Article 694 Wind Electrical Systems that I plan to install for myself. This handbook has 2 illustrations in 690 and none in 694. I actually got more info from my NEC and the web . I will not buy another MCGraw-Hill handbook without actually having in my hands to review.

the good news is that the Shipping was the greatest, on time and packaged well, Now for the Bad news!!!!!
This book is as bad as it gets, no updated photos of modern switch gear, this crap dates back to prehistoric times, I started in the Electrical Trade Oct, 1958 and some of the or should I say most of the photos are pre 58 The only reason I am using it is that some of the information has been updated but I am going to bite the bullet and buy the NEC version the National Electrical code Handbook, I have to submit a class for approval to the State of Washington Labor and Industries by the end of March to keep current I will never again buy McGraw-Hills. ets just say a lesson well learned

I bought this book thinking it included the text of the Code, as well as the author's comments and explanations. I will not buy another one.
